In the spring of 2019, the Summit County Engineering Department received 203 petitions from Peak 7 Neighborhood residents proposing the formation of a 335-lot Local Improvement District for the purpose of paving roads.
On July 23, 2019, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) passed a resolution adopting the preliminary plans and specifications, district boundary, and cost estimate for the project.
A public hearing is scheduled for the regular BOCC meeting to be held on August 27, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. in the BOCC Meeting Room, 3rd Floor, 208 Lincoln Ave., Breckenridge. The BOCC will decide at this meeting whether to approve the district, and certify the ballot for November. If approved by the BOCC on the 27th, the eligible voters within the district will be able to vote on the project in the regular election this coming November.
