Restoration of electricity and gas

Posted on June 14, 2018 at 9:54 AM by Julie Sutor

Electrical power and natural gas service have been restored to all homes in Mesa Cortina and Wildernest.

The majority of homes have automatic pilot lights. Residents in homes with these automatic pilot lights will not have to take any action related to gas service when the evacuation order is lifted.

IMPORTANT: Xcel Energy has identified 22 residences that do not have automatic pilot lights and has hung tags on the front doorknobs of those 22 homes. The tags contain contact information for a local Xcel Energy crew that is on call to come to your home to relight the pilot light. If there is a tag on your door, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LIGHT YOUR OWN PILOT LIGHT.

If you have any questions about natural gas service or equipment in your home, call Xcel Energy's 24-hour hotline: 800-895-4999.

Please note: THE EVACUATION ORDER HAS NOT BEEN LIFTED.
