Summit County Alert
SC Alert is also used to communicate non-life-safety information, such as planned road closures, school delays/cancellations, community meetings, utility repairs and service interruptions.
Once inside your managed account, you can customize alerts by selecting Community Groups and identifying two specific physical addresses for which you want to be notified of any emergency activity or information.
Using SC Alert
We deliver SC Alert notifications by phone, email, text and mobile-app alerts. Individuals and businesses may add as many phone numbers, email addresses and text numbers as they choose.SC Alert is compatible with TDD/TTY devices for those with hearing impairments.
Registering for SC Alert
Registering for SC Alert is quick and easy:- Visit the Summit County portal to CodeRED to create a managed account and select your Community Groups, including traffic notifications and school groups. Please note that if you sign up for CodeRED emergency notifications outside the Summit County portal, you will not be able to subscribe to these local notification groups.
- Enter addresses, such as your home and work locations, to be notified of emergencies occurring in those areas.
- Add the SC Alert Emergency phone number (866-419-5000) to your contacts as "SC Alert" so that it will display in your caller ID.
- Add the SC Alert General phone number (855-969-4636) to your contacts as "SC Alert" so that it will display in your caller ID.
CodeRED Mobile Alert App
Residents and visitors can receive public safety alerts - no matter where you are located - via the CodeRED Mobile Alert app, a free public safety app for both Android and iPhone users. The app delivers community and emergency alerts from any agency that uses CodeRED, when you're located in a geographic area that is being impacted by an emergency.If you're currently a CodeRED subscriber who has already registered your mobile phone to get notifications from Summit County, you will continue to receive calls. However, if you download the app, you will also be able to get alerts to your smartphone anywhere in the country, including Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Alaska. Please note that if you only download the app, but do not subscribe for email and text alerts through the web portal, you will not receive notifications via email, phone or text. Notifications will only come through the app. Also, the app does not provide access to Summit County's customized local notification groups, such as traffic and individual school notifications.
Please be aware that if you choose to receive weather alerts from the National Weather Service through the app, you will be charged $1 annually.

Update Account Info or Unsubscribe
Visit the Summit County CodeRED portal, and click "Login" at the top right, to perform any of these tasks:
- Update your account info, e.g., addresses, phone numbers, email addresses.
- Change your settings, including any community groups you subscribe to such as Traffic or Schools.
- Unsubscribe from SC Alert notifications.
Summit County Alert

Si actualmente es un suscriptor de CodeRED y ya registró su teléfono móvil para recibir notificaciones del condado de Summit, continuará recibiendo llamadas. Actualice la información de la cuenta o cancele
laVisite el Portal CodeRED del condado de Summity y presione en "Iniciar sesión" en la parte superior derecha para realizar cualquiera de estas tareas:
- Actualice la información de su cuenta, por ejemplo, direcciones, números de teléfono, direcciones de correo electrónico.
