Housing Projects
One of the primary functions of the Housing Department is the development of local resident workforce housing. Projects range in size and type from rental developments to for sale developments to unit buy downs to employee housing units within developments. Some recent and current projects are listed here.
Bills Ranch
Summit County owns two parcels in Bill's Ranch on Miners Creek Rd that total 2.08 acres. The County is currently working on a conceptual site plan and determining the building types on these parcels. It is currently expected the County will submit a rezoning application for the property in Summer 2023.
USFS Work Center
The USFS Work Center is a 10.89 acre parcel in unincorporated Summit County located northeast of the Highway 6 and Lake Dillon Drive intersection. The parcel is adjacent to the Town of Dillon. Preliminary site design has been contemplated between 159-177 units of studio, 1, 2, and 3-bedroom units primarily intended for rental.
Justice Center
Summit County and the Town of Breckenridge are jointly developing a 1.82 acre County owned parcel utilizing modular construction to lower costs and speed delivery. The parcel is anticipated to have 52 units in 2 buildings comprised of studio, 1 & 2-bedroom rental units.
Dillon Valley Vistas
12 for-sale duplex units priced at 100% AMI on a site located at 19 Straight Creek Dr., which was previously owned and occupied by Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.
West Hills Phases I & II
66 Deed Restricted For Sale Townhomes and Condos in the Snake River Basin.
Lake Hill
Master Planned Neighborhood to include a mix of rental and for-sale units to be developed in multiple phases.
Huron Landing
Summit County & Town of Breckenridge partnership that includes 26 Rental Units.
