The Open Space Advisory Council (OSAC) is an appointed board responsible for recommending properties for acquisition to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), along with open space and trails management priorities for the Department.
The BOCC reviews applicants for 3-year terms on the OSAC, effective February 1 of most years depending on term limits of current members. Email or call Allison Mitchell (allison.mitchell@summitcountyco.gov / 970-668-4213) for more information on how to become an OSAC member. Applications for new positions are typically available in December each year, and will be posted on this webpage.
