Summit County Financial Reports

Summit County Government has its books audited annually by an independent accounting firm. Our fiscal year is a calendar year, so audited financial statements are issued by June 30 for the prior year. Summit County Government has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association annually since 1988.

Summit County Annual Comprehensive Financial Report

State Law requires that all general-purpose local governments publish within 240 days of the close of each fiscal year a complete set of financial statements presented in conformity with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States (GAAP) and audited in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards by a firm of licensed certified public accountants.
