ADA & Paratransit Service
ADA Policy Statement
The Americans with Disabilities Act (Title II) states, in part, that “no otherwise qualified disabled individual shall, solely by reason of such disability, be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination in programs, services or activities sponsored by a public entity.” At Summit Stage, we are committed to complying with the requirements of Title II of the ADA in all of our programs, services, benefits and activities.
Summit Stage provides safe and efficient transportation to the communities we serve. Summit Stage provides origin-to-destination service for the frail, elderly, and persons with disabilities. Origin-to-destination service means that paratransit service available to each passenger gets the passenger from their point of origin to their destination point. All able-bodied passengers are given curb-to-curb service meaning they are picked up in front of their homes and delivered in front of their destinations unless door-to-door service is requested.
Mountain Mobility Paratransit Service
Mountain Mobility provides year-round complementary paratransit service to residents and visitors. Paratransit service is available to anyone with a qualifying disability for travel anywhere in Summit County that is within three-quarters of one mile from Summit Stage and Breckenridge Free Ride bus stops.
Mountain Mobility is available during the same days and hours as our regular bus service. We offer curb-to-curb service. Travel must be scheduled at least one day in advance by calling 970-389-1041, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday - Friday. Please leave a message if you reach voicemail after business hours, Saturday and Sunday, or major holidays.
