ADA & Paratransit Service
ADA Policy Statement
The Americans with Disabilities Act (Title II) states, in part, that “no otherwise qualified disabled individual shall, solely by reason of such disability, be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination in programs, services or activities sponsored by a public entity.” At Summit Stage, we are committed to complying with the requirements of Title II of the ADA in all of our programs, services, benefits and activities.
Summit Stage provides safe and efficient transportation to the communities we serve. Mountain Mobility uses its own vehicles and, where practical and appropriate, other free bus systems in Summit County to provide the best overall origin-to-destination service for the frail, elderly, and persons with disabilities. Passengers are either transported directly to their destination or to a bus stop that will get them to their destination.
Mountain Mobility Paratransit Service
Mountain Mobility provides year-round complementary paratransit service to residents and visitors. Paratransit service is available to anyone with a qualifying disability who has an approved application on file. Trips are available anywhere in Summit County that is within three-quarters of one mile from Summit Stage and Breckenridge Free Ride bus stops. Trips scheduled through Mountain Mobility may include the use of other free agencies in the County.
Mountain Mobility is available during the same days and hours as our fixed route bus stop times in the area nearest your pickup location. We offer curb-to-curb service. Travel must be scheduled at least one day in advance by calling 970-389-1041, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday - Friday. Trips needed over the weekend, observed holidays and the day after will need to be scheduled during our open office hours. Please leave a message if you reach voicemail after business hours, Saturday and Sunday, or observed holidays. https://www.summitcountyco.gov/349/County-Holidays
