Silverthorne resident, Josh Blanchard, joined the Board of County Commissioners in January 2021.
Since 2002, Josh has worked throughout Summit County in non-profit management, arts administration, higher education, resort management, destination tourism and event production. Most recently, Josh served as the Lake Dillon Theatre Company’s Executive Director from 2010 to 2021. He has taught courses in communication and theatre at Colorado Mountain College since 2006 and has been involved as a guest teacher, volunteer and coach within the Summit County School District system since 2004.
Dedicated to working to ensure and enhance the quality of living for all of Summit County’s diverse residents, Josh is honored to currently serve as director for several Summit County non-profit organizations, including The Summit Foundation, the Family & Intercultural Resource Center and Growing Together. Previously, Josh served as Commissioner on the Lower Blue Planning Commission, the Community Resident Representative for Summit County’s Zero Waste Advisory Group, director for Lake Dillon Preschool and advisor for the Colorado Mountain College Speaker Series Board, among others.
Josh holds an undergraduate degree from University of Texas at Dallas and a graduate degree from University of Colorado at Denver. He and his family live in the Eagles Nest neighborhood in Silverthorne.
