Funded Programs
Monetary donations are applied to one of the following areas:
General Donation Fund: This funds medical treatments, emergency preparedness, or any other things that support our mission of providing the animals in our care with a secure, shelter environment and offering them the opportunity to be adopted.
Spay/Neuter Fund: This supplements our budget so that all animals that are adopted from the Shelter can be spayed or neutered.
Humane Education: Our staff and volunteers who run this program are very committed to offering the best presentations to K-12 kids in areas of pet responsibility.

Funding Partnerships
You may also contribute to Summit County Animal Shelter through our donate-a-bed program. Purchase a dog bed for shelter dogs through the Kuranda Dog Beds program.
Our organization is set up to benefit from the Hale Pet Door program. Hale Pet Door manufactures high-end pet doors and supports rescues. If you are considering installing a pet door in your home, check them out at www.halepetdoor.com. Hale Pet Doors can go through walls, doors, screens, French doors, windows units and sliding glass doors. Customers who have adopted a pet from a legitimate rescue organization or shelter and who purchase one of their pet doors will receive 10 percent off the cost of the door. Hale will also send a check for that same amount to the rescue organization. It is their way of saying “thank you for opting to adopt and thereby save a life.”
