WHAT IS A UOCAVA VOTER?

 

This acronym is used to refer to the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act. This act was passed to ensure that registering and voting is as convenient as possible for United States citizens who are overseas either permanently or temporarily.

METHODS TO CAST YOUR BALLOT

UOCAVA Electors have three different methods of how to receive and cast their ballot, indicated through your online or paper registration form.

HOW TO APPLY

  • If you wish to apply to become a UOCAVA voter and utilize a Summit County residential address for your U.S. address, visit the Colorado Secretary of State's Military & Overseas website for forms
  • We have a new, direct email address for our UOCAVA voters: UOCAVA@summitcountyco.gov  
  • Online: Head to www.GoVoteColorado.gov and be sure to select the option to become a UOCAVA voter -OR-
  • Paper: Fill out a Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) form (found here) and mail the form to:
