Hazardous Fuels Reduction Grants
The Hazardous Fuels Reduction (HFR) Grant Program is a community-based cost share program. Through this program, a representative of a neighborhood, HOA or subdivision works with local wildfire mitigation experts to develop a fuels reduction plan that fits the needs of the local community. The community receives financial assistance to implement the plan.
Community Wildfire Plan Implementation Grants
The Summit County Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) grant program provides financial assistance with projects identified in the CWPP that do not meet the criteria for the Hazardous Fuels Reduction Grant Program. Eligible projects include development of emergency water supplies, improvements to evacuation routes, hazard tree removal and other protection strategies.
