Drivers should plan alternative routes while road crews repave Dillon Dam Road. Daily single lane closures through August 4th, with daily full closures beginning thereafter through August 11. Road will be open after each business day and on weekend.
SUMMIT COUNTY—Drivers, campground users, and other recreation users of Dillon Dam Road should expect delays on Dillon Dam Road from the guard gate to Frisco's Summit Boulevard as crews from Summit County and the Town of Frisco continue paving work on this section of the road. Alternate routes should be used during this time.
- Campground users with reservations will be allowed through
- From 8/1-8/4, road will be single-lane westbound from the Dillon side at the guard gate all the way to Summit Blvd.
- Full daily closures will begin approximately Friday August 4th or Monday August 7th, conditions dependent, from the winter 'Road Closed' gate to the guard shack. During this phase of repaving, the access to restaurants and hotels from Summit Blvd. will be fully open.
- No weekend closures are expected along the road.
- Road will re-open each day after crews have finished for the day, usually around 7pm.
- Large RVs and daily paid USFS campground users along Dillon Dam Road will be accommodated.
- The bike path will remain open; however, cyclists and path users should expect large machinery and disruption during the day.
- There will be NO parking access on this road until the project is concluded.
- Project should wrap up, weather depending, on August 11th.
