The Motor Vehicle office will be closed September 6th & 7th, 2023, to complete the move.

SUMMIT COUNTY - Summit County Clerk Taryn Power announced the Division of Motor Vehicle (DMV) will be returning to Frisco, with an opening expected on September 8th.

The DMV, currently located in the County Courthouse in Breckenridge, will move back to the County Commons in Frisco, to better serve customers in a more central location next to the Main Branch of the Summit County Library.

"For years, the DMV was located at County Commons. We think this location will better serve all residents with ample free parking and easy access from Highway 9," said Power.Photo of the Motor Vehicle Self-Serve Kiosk

DMV offices will be closed September 6th and 7th in order to complete the move. The office plans to reopen for customers in its new location on September 8th. Residents needing to renew or replace their vehicle registration during the closure may use the free electronic kiosk located inside the Dillon City Market or visit mydmv.colorado.gov to complete many services or find other locations around the state.

Drivers licenses and ID services are provided by the State of Colorado on the lower level of County Commons. More information on services available from the Summit County DMV are available on the County website.
