DISTURBANCE IN DILLON VALLEY CONDOMINIUM RESULTS IN SHOOTING

SUMMIT COUNTY, CO – On November 30, 2019 at approximately 8:25 p.m. the Summit County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance in a condominium in Dillon Valley.

The disturbance involved five individuals who appeared to have been intoxicated and making derogatory comments towards others in the group. During the disturbance, Tanner Randall Hall, assaulted the victim, Maxwell Murphy Blank. Hall and Blank were separated by others in the unit with Blank securing himself behind a bedroom door. A handgun was involved when Blank armed himself for protection due to fearing for his safety. Hall broke into the room where Blank was and a struggle over control of the handgun ensued. Hall was later contacted about 3 a.m. when deputies were dispatched to Hall’s condominium where he was found with a gunshot wound to his right leg. Hall was arrested and transported to Saint Anthony’s Summit Medical Center for medical treatment. Hall was then transported to the Summit County Detention Facility where he was booked on charges of First Degree Burglary, Third Degree Assault, Menacing, Bias-motivated crime, Criminal Mischief $750-$1000, Violation of Bond Conditions and Violation of Protection Order.
