Navigating through COVID - What do the new mitigation measures mean for your business?
Contact: April Kroner, Summit County Planning Director
SUMMIT COUNTY– Summit County Government and the Summit Chamber of Commerce recognize the significant impacts to the local economy as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the challenges faced by the business community with navigating through changes to state and local public health orders and operating protocols. In an effort to keep business owners and operators informed on recent changes, the county and chamber are co-hosting a second Virtual Business Forum – Navigating Through COVID, on Friday, Oct. 30 from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. The event is free and open to the community.
The forum will feature Summit County Public Health Director Amy Wineland and public health experts. The panel will provide an update on the amended local public health order and mitigation measures required to slow the spread of the virus in Summit County and avoid more restrictive measures being imposed by the State, such as potential limits to business capacity sizes.
The amended local public health order limits the size of public and private gatherings, adds requirements for short-term lodging operations, limits non-critical office-based businesses, and limits restaurant group sizes. The presentation will be followed by a Question and Answer session.
