Summit County Announces Death with COVID-19

37 year-old Summit County resident dies

SUMMIT COUNTY – The Summit County Coroner has confirmed the death of a Summit County resident.

A 37-year-old Summit man died August 17 at his residence. The man tested positive for COVID-19 postmortem. The death was not due to COVID-19, however is classified as another Summit County death among cases with COVID-19.

“It saddens us to lose anyone in our community and we extend our deep condolences to his loved ones,” Summit County Public Health Director Amy Wineland said. 

Summit County will not release any further information about this death.

CONDADO DE SUMMIT - El forense del Condado de Summit ha confirmado la muerte de un residente del Condado de Summit.

Un hombre de Summit de 37 años murió el 17 de agosto en su domicilio. El hombre dio positivo al COVID-19 en la autopsia. La muerte no se debió a COVID-19, sin embargo, se clasifica como otra muerte del condado de Summit entre los casos de COVID-19.

“Nos entristece perder a alguien en nuestra comunidad y extendemos nuestro mas sentido pésame a sus seres queridos”, dijo Amy Wineland, directora de salud pública del condado de Summit.

El condado de Summit no divulgará más información sobre esta muerte.
