SUMMIT COUNTY, CO – On April 21, 2022, Summit County resident Clint Ketchum (DOB 11/13/1978), was arrested by the Summit County Sheriff’s Office. The investigation began when the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Section received two cyber-tip cases from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Data System. The cyber-tips involved child sexual abuse material. A search warrant was conducted at Ketchum’s residence and a cell phone belonging to Ketchum was seized. During the investigation, videos were recovered containing what appeared to be child pornography material involving underage females. An arrest warrant was obtained and members of the Summit County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Section contacted Ketchum and he was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with Sexual Exploitation of a Child (possession), a class 4 Felony, and Sexual Exploitation of a Child (distribution), a class 3 Felony.

Summit County Sheriff Jaime FitzSimons stated “While these types of investigations are always difficult, I am very proud of the work put in by our Criminal Investigation and Patrol Sections.”

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children receives information through its centralized reporting system, CyberTipline, for online exploitation of children. If you suspect a child may be sexually exploited, contact the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, 970-668-8600 or the national CyberTipline, 1-800-843-5678.

Additional information is not available for release at this time.
