Brian holds a Master’s of Arts in Crisis and Disaster Management from American Military University and is a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM). He moved to Summit County in 2018 with his wife and two children. Prior to his current role, Brian served as the Director of Operations for the Baltimore City Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management and during his time there he coordinated multiple Presidential disaster declarations and served as a Deputy Incident Commander for several of the largest events in the City's history.

Brian has a passion for teaching emergency management and has given presentations throughout the country on complex incident management skills and best practices. Prior to his role in Emergency Management, Brian served for more than ten years as a member of the Baltimore City Fire Department.
