Summit County Government, through the Board of County Commissioners, is the local licensing authority for all applicable liquor licenses within unincorporated Summit County.

Instructions

  1. To apply for or modify a liquor license, or to apply for a special event or tasting permit, please see the tabs on this page to download the necessary forms. 
  2. If required, complete the fingerprinting process using this FAQ Sheet.
  3. Email here to schedule an appointment to submit your completed application and payments. Please note the clerk only facilitates applications for businesses within unincorporated Summit County.
Renewals

Renewal reminders and forms are sent by the County and State at least 90 days prior to the expiration date of the Liquor License.  Didn't get your renewal notice?  Email [email protected]

Special Event Liquor Permit
  • Must be a non-profit organization under C.R.S. 44-5-102
  • Special Event Liquor Permit Application
  • Applications must be complete and in the possession of the Clerk & Recorder no later than 30 days prior to the event.
  • If the event is to be held within Town limits of a local municipality, apply through the appropriate Town Clerk's Office.
